Dr. Miskiewicz has numerous years of experience in implantology and periodontics as well as having completed specialisations in both areas.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Implantology:<\/h2>\n

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of titanium or ceramic that are inserted into the jawbone. Dentures are then mounted on the implants.
\nOur state-of-the-art digital volume tomogram (DVT) enables optimal planning of the surgical procedure via three-dimensional imaging: both positioning of the implant, bone conditions and any existing bone deficit can be well assessed in advance.<\/p>\n

A distinction is made between implants:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • simple implants:<\/strong> Insertion of the implant screw into the jawbone without bone augmentation<\/li>\n
  • Implants with bone augmentation:<\/strong> if there is any existing bone deficit, it is necessary to add additional bone of sufficient height and width to ensure that the implant is supported. The bone is built up with the patient’s own bone or with bone substitute material.<\/li>\n
  • Implants with Sinus Lift:<\/strong> In the molar area of the upper jaw, the maxillary sinus is very deep, so that implants without bone augmentation are not possible. In order to be able to graft the bone, it is necessary to move the maxillary sinus mucosa so that enough space is created. The special technique that is used is called a Sinus Lift.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Dr. Miskiewicz performs all three types of implant placement. The type of treatment a patient requires is discussed in a detailed informative consultation, which addresses the individual situation and, last but not least, aims to answer all of the patient’s questions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

    Periodontics:<\/h2>\n

    Periodontics deals with the treatment of gum disease. In these diseases, various bacteria cause inflammation of the gums and bones. As a result, the bone is constantly broken down, and support of the teeth in the bone is continuously reduced until they no longer have any support and can therefore no longer be maintained.<\/p>\n
